GCC Import Duties: What Every Gulf Buyer Must Know
As of 1 January 2025, all six GCC member states operate under a unified 12-digit HS code customs tariff. Watches shipped into the UAE carry a 5 percent customs duty plus 5 percent VAT on the combined value of the item and the duty, for an effective total of 12 to 13 percent above the purchase price before flat handling fees.
